Not sure what missions to publish?  No worries, we've got you covered.  Below you'll find 11 awesome mission ideas to get you started with Blue Squad.  Feel free to re-use the content below or get inspiration from them.

Note: In many cases, we've phrased the mission content as if we were writing them for ourselves (Blue Squad), so just be sure to adjust to the specifics of your campaign when necessary!

Education Missions

Mission Idea #1

Learn about our campaign or organization

This is your chance to convince voters and volunteers to work for you! Post an intro video to watch, your mission statement, core values, and link to learn more on your site. Don't be afraid to show personality and have fun with this mission.

Introduction
Find out why you should support us and how we're going to fight for your rights.

Content
Our core mission is to help you be as successful as you can be. Our goals are to inform you on everything going on in your district and find ways for you to help your neighbors, family and friends. We are stronger together. You can find a full list of our values and issues at www.bluesquad.co.

Mission Idea #2

Follow our campaign on social media

Social media is making it harder and harder to reach outside your existing audience, but it's still a nice way to remind people about your campaign as they scroll through. Use this mission as a quick, easy way to stay in the minds of your supporters.

Introduction:
We're going to be using Blue Squad for action-items but you can also follow our social media to stay in touch.

Content:
You can stay in touch with the campaign everywhere! Follow our accounts to show your support and get additional information.

Mission Idea #3

Sign up to your campaign or organization newsletter
Have an email list for super volunteers and supporters? This is the place to get more people signed up and interested in the real team-work of your campaign. Make sure you're clear about the kind of information supporters will get on the newsletter, put in a link to the newsletter sign up, and make sure signing up takes less than 1 minute, or you might lose them!

Introduction:
Want to be the first to hear about campaign news and get insider information? Join our mailing list for big updates and team messages.

Content:
Join our mailing list by entering your information in this sign-up form:
We send out monthly updates and any breaking news related to our campaign. You'll get notifications for any events near you. Your trust is our most valuable asset and we will not sell your information to any 3rd party.

Mission Idea #4

Donate to our campaign

The big one. In this mission, you have to convince people their donation, no matter how small, will make a big difference to your organization. Be sure you include exactly where and who the money is going to, a mission statement, what the money will do for your organization, and link to a donation page.

Introduction:
Help us keep our staffers fueled with coffee and our pencils sharp.

Content:
A campaign takes a lot of work to keep afloat and there's a reason most campaigns are run by independently-wealthy individuals. With a donation of $10, we can buy 100 postcards to mail to voters, with $100 we can buy 50 yard signs, and $1000 pays for a month of our intern's hard work. Click here to donate to our campaign and help save democracy.

Mission Idea #5

Sign Up to This Event

Have an event that's coming up? Blue Squad is the perfect place to let people know about it. Include an event description, time and place, and link to the event page site. Make sure your supporters know why their presence would make a difference and all the cool things they'll get to participate in.

Introduction:
Sign up to see to our campaign in-person (or as close we can get), connect with other volunteers, and stay informed. Jump in, the water's fine!

Mission Idea #6

Fill out a survey for your campaign or organization

This is where you can really stand out from the other organizations. A place to get information about what your voters and volunteers really care about and a wonderful check in to show you are listening to them. Make sure the survey can be done in 5-10 minutes or less! The shorter it is, the more likely they are to complete it.

Introduction:
We want to know about you, so we can fight for you.

Content:
We're here to make sure you are heard and represented and helped. We can only do that if we know who you are, what you care, and what you're seeing. We made a 5-minute survey to help us understand where you're coming from and make sure we're all unified. <insert link to survey>

Texting Missions

Mission Idea #7

Text our website to a few friends

Outreach! Texting and emailing missions are where the magic happens in Blue Squad. This is where your team, supporters, and volunteers can reach out to their network and convince them to turn out for you. Make sure you keep the messages personal, gentle, and smart. No typos or someone might think it's spam!

Introduction:
Our campaign is only as strong as the people who remember our name. Send a link to our website to friends who would be interested in voting for us in the next election.

Content:
Take the first step in helping our campaign reach out to all the voters in <insert district name> and send a link to our website to your friends or family who live in the area! You can edit each message before you send it out to someone. Be sure to make it personal!

Emailing Missions

Mission Idea #11

Email Friends to Support your campaign or organization

Email missions are also a great way for your supporters to reach voters.  Longer-form messages may be better in emails vs texts, so use email missions when you want your supporters to share meatier content.
